* 1 package yellow cake mix
* 1 egg, lightly beaten
* ½ cup less fatty milk
* 2 ripe bananas, mashed

Methods for Preparation

To start with this simple recipe for banana nut bread, preheat oven to 350 °F, and grease two loaf pans (9 x 4 inch). Combine together the cake mix, lightly beaten eggs and milk in a large mixing bowl. You can mix it in an electric blender for even mixing. Then, add mashed bananas and run the mixer at medium low speed for 2-3 minutes. Pour this bread base in two greased loaf pans, and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Check for bread doneness by inserting a toothpick and see if it comes out clean or not. If yes, your easy banana bread recipe is done. Let it cool down in the cooling rack for 10 minutes or so. Make slices and serve warm.

How to Prepare

Cheddar Cheese Fondue Recipe

1 Cup Pilsner Beer
½ cup Dark Beer
1 lb Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
6 ounces Gruyere Cheese, shredded
2 T flour
1 tsp ground mustard
2 tsp garlic (more to taste – I like more)
Fresh ground pepper
2 T brandy (optional)

Place shredded cheese in a large Ziploc bag. Add flour and shake to coat.In an electric fondue pot, heat the beer until it is steaming. Add cheese, a little at a time, stirring until fully melted.Add in ground mustard, garlic and fresh ground pepper.If using brandy, add in just before serving.Serve with breads, apples, celery and carrots.

Strawberry Divinity

3 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup tape water
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
1 cup chopped peanuts nuts (optional)

Method:In a large saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup and tap water together and bring to a rapid boil, stirring constantly. Cook your syrup until it reaches 260 degrees (use a candy thermometer). In a large mixing bowl, combine the beaten egg whites and strawberry gelatin together. Use an electric mixer and beat the egg mixture until stiff peaks form. Slowly pour the hot syrup mixture into the beaten egg whites mixture and then beat the mixture until the candy mixture loses its gloss and holds its shape.Fold in the chopped peanuts. Drop the mixture by the tablespoon onto a non-stick baking mat or waxed paper. Once it has harden, store in an airtight container.

For Bhaji :
Potato medium size 4
Cabbage chopped 1 cup
Cauliflower flowerets 1 cup
Green Peas 1/2 cup
Onions finely chopped 2
Tomato finely chopped 2
Green chili chopped 2
Butter 4 tbsp
Pavbhaji masala 2 tsp.
Salt according to taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.
Garam masala 1/2 tsp.
Red chili powder 1-1/2 tsp. (according to taste)
1 cup water for boiling vegetables

Green Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp.

350 grams floury potatoes
1 leek
1 small onion
3 cups chicken stock
4 tbsp cream
Salt and pepper

Peel and chop the onion and the potatoes. Slice the leeks.In a pan, place the potatoes, leek and onion pieces; add salt and the chicken stock. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for at least 1 hour.Blend the broth till it becomes a smooth mixture, and let it cool a bit. Béchamel Sauce French cuisine

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Yields: 2 cups

· 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
· 1 heaping tablespoon flour (regular or whole wheat)
· 2 cups milk (any kind)
· pinch of salt
· optional: pinch of nutmeg or curry

1. On medium heat, melt butter or margarine in saucepan.
2. Stir in flour and stir until completely combined and mixture starts to bubble (approximately 1 minute). *
3. Pour in milk all at once and stir almost constantly to avoid sticking until sauce has thickened. This will take between 7-10 minutes.

*For a light-colored sauce, avoid browning butter by pouring milk in while flour mixture is still golden in color.
Note: Sauce will thicken when cooled. If making in advance, add a bit of milk when reheating. Reheat gently on medium-low heat.

1. Using a serrated knife, cut a pound or a grapefruit size of the refrigerated boule dough and dust it with flour.
2. Mold the dough with hands until you have created a round top and a lumpy bottom. Stretch it to desired size.
3. Place the dough on a pizza peel covered with parchment and flour. Leave it for 40 minutes.
4. Get a broiler pan and place it on the bottom of the oven. Placing it in the bottom is advisable because it will not interfere with the dough rising. On the middle rack, place a baking stone and preheat the oven to 450 degrees F for 20 minutes.
